How would you apply the DMI learnings in your future role?

As I am not a regional or MU marketer, and I expect, and have already been using this new knowledge to better understand how the various areas of marketing work. This has helped me to be better able to look for areas of collaboration, opportunities to connect the dots between the various programs, and just a generally better understanding (and thus more interest) in the various presentations and successes of my colleagues around the world.

Did this offering help provide you with a better understanding of the different core components of Digital Marketing? If yes, how?

Absolutely! As mentioned above, I will be able to use this knowledge in my conversations with colleagues about all the various areas of Digital Marketing, as well, I feel that I now have a much better understanding of the strategy and analytics that goes into our digital marketing programs.

Were there any challenges you initially thought of but found you overcame, if so how? (e.g. time, understanding the modules)

Time was definitely a challenge as I started this program. I am a manager of a team responsible for a number of large initiatives, and so finding the time was initially hard. However, I am passionate about learning, and about bettering myself, and so I stuck with the schedule that I set up for myself, and overcame the obstacle of time. I find the busier I am, the more efficient I will be with my various time commitments.

What kind of learning programs do you want to see more of?

This is a hard one for me to answer, as I am responsible for the digital learning programs within marketing, however, I would say that I see an opportunity to do something similar to what Sales Academy has done, and to build up a Marketing Academy that pulls in early talent, upskills them on SAP Marketing, and guarantees them a job (assuming they meet a set of expectations) following their education, and we build the best of the best within SAP.
