Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
In terms of academic career – I previously did a BA in Geography & Mathematics in Maynooth University, an MSc in Sustainable Rural Development in UCD and an MSc in Cyberpsychology in IADT Dun Laoghaire.
Up until my move to UNICEF Ireland, I had worked in the education/training sector for a number of years.
What influenced your decision to study in the digital field?
Through my work with UNICEF I was looking more and more towards digital as a fundraising tool. I knew some of the basics, but I thought some formal training in the area would greatly benefit me, and the children I fundraise on behalf of.
Why did you choose to study the Professional Diploma with the Digital Marketing Institute?
I did some research online and contacted a number of different organisations who run courses in digital marketing. Ultimately, I was happy with the Digital Marketing Institute’s costs and reputation.
Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?
I still work for UNICEF Ireland, however when I did the course I was the Direct Marketing Executive. I since went on to become the Direct Marketing Manager and I am now the Direct Marketing and Digital Manager.
Is there any advice you would give to new students at the Digital Marketing Institute?
