Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
Having completed a Masters in Marketing and International Business, I landed my first full-time marketing position as a National Sales & Marketing Coordinator. I’ve been in the industry for 7 years now and have garnered experience in both Brand and Product Management. I thoroughly enjoy what I do for a living, it’s allowed me to work on interesting projects across a broad number of industries since qualifying.
What influenced your decision to study digital?
In the 10 years since leaving university, I watched the marketing landscape rapidly change with the emergence of digital marketing. I decided that I wanted to fully understand this new way of engaging with customers and how to leverage it to communicate our brand and products in a refreshing and exciting way.
Why did you choose to study the Professional Diploma with the Digital Marketing Institute?
I spent a considerable amount of time researching digital marketing courses across the globe, but many of them did not suit my needs. I didn’t think that I would find a course that provided me with a strong foundation in digital and the flexibility that I needed to certify my skills alongside a full-time job but then I discovered the Digital Marketing Institute.

I’m currently a Product Manager at Bostik Australia. During my studies I had an excellent opportunity to apply my studies to my professional career with the development of the Bostik website. The global digital team at Bostik invited me to contribute my ideas to the project due to my newly developed digital marketing expertise. I’m now the key contact within the business for anything related to Digital Marketing.
Is there any advice you would give to new students at the Digital Marketing Institute?
Like any new learning experience, you only get out of it what you put into it. Although the marketing theories and technologies may be unconventional for some students; it is this aspect of Digital Marketing that makes it so interesting. Furthermore, the way in which the Digital Marketing Institute deliver and explain the material makes for a very exciting course!
