Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
Having spent over 20 years in marketing - working across industries as diverse as banking, retail, aged care and retirement in Australia – I thought it was time to update my skills
What influenced your decision to study in the digital field?
I wanted to expand my skill set – not necessarily to work in digital - but to make sure I understood how digital could help me in my business.
Why did you choose to study with the Digital Marketing Institute?
I did a great deal of research on the different courses available. The Digital Marketing Institute's professional diploma in digital marketing course was the only one that actually gave me the theory and the practical application with the level of detail I wanted. I didn’t want a two-day intense course which would really only gave me some headline information.
Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?
As a senior executive I wasn’t looking to progress my career – I was looking to further enhance what my team already do.
Is there any advice you would give to new or future students at the Digital Marketing Institute?
This course is a practical educative course. You’ll need to learn the theory but also apply your learnings. The best way you can do this is by having a real digital presence and actually applying what you learn to this.
