Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
I was working with a company for nine years and found myself by chance in the Marketing department. I had no formal qualifications in this field. I found it very interesting and wanted to get a qualification in the specific area which appealed to me.
What influenced your decision to study in the digital field?
Current trends in the market place really helped my decision in the choice of course relevant for today's industry which I wanted to spend my money and time on in getting a better understanding of.
Why did you choose to study your course with the Digital Marketing Institute?
My previous manager had recommended the course to me as they had recently completed it and as I expressed an interest in furthering my studies in this area, they advised it would suit my requirements perfectly.
Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?
While undertaking the course it gave me the confidence to change my career path and apply for a job which previously I would have not even attempted. I am currently working in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry for a leading global company in Ireland, which I am delighted to be part of. I started on a contract and have just been offered a permanent role. Completing my studies with the digital marketing institute has boosted my confidence and just what I needed to keep progressing in my field.
Is there any advice you would give to new students at the Digital Marketing Institute?
Enjoy the course, get into a good routine of study as if going to a physical college at set times. I found it challenging at times but overall I really enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone looking challenging themselves.
