Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
I worked in international marketing for 15 years in industries such as retail, biotech and media/publishing; however, I felt like my digital marketing knowledge was starting to get stale.
What influenced your decision to study digital?
I didn’t want to be a digital dinosaur. I want to be an expert, aware digital immigrant. Digital marketing is great because it’s data-driven, allowing for clear results that are easy to digest and learn from.
Why did you choose to study the Professional Diploma with the Digital Marketing Institute?
I wanted to get an overview of all digital marketing disciplines, so I took a classroom course from a well-known local business school. I saw that DMI was the franchise institute for the methods/content, and I wanted to learn more. I decided to complete the "digital diagnostic" tool on DMI homepage. I came in contact with a digital advisor at DMI He helped me understand what course and level would most benefit my career.
Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?
With my DMI certificate and enhanced skills, I took my career to the next level and "future- proofed" it for years to come. The DMI certificate (PDDM) was crucial in my job application process, and I believe it increased my chances to get my current position by 30-40%. It opened the door to positions I was not eligible for before and was well worth the investment.

I also encourage you to I encourage to do as many practical exercises as possible. Via DMI, I worked with a team for the Google Marketing Challenge (Google AdWords campaign) which enriched the process with a hands-on learning experience.
