The Digital Marketing Institute’s (DMI) expansion continues apace as reseller partnerships are established in 18 new markets* and its online education business doubles.
To cater for increasing student numbers globally the company has also signed a new agreement with Pearson VUE, the global computer-based testing leader, meaning DMI exams can now be taken in 180 countries worldwide. Computer-based testing (CBT) allows candidates to book a test on-demand and sit it at a time of their choice at any one of over 5,200 Pearson VUE test centres around the world.
Education partnerships with universities, training companies and digital agencies now span 50 countries, up from 32 in May 2014. The 18 new education partnerships will result in an additional 8,500 people qualifying with a DMI certification over the next 3 years in these markets. This together with the projected 4,000 new students for its online courses solidifies the Irish company’s training as the largest single certification standard in digital marketing.

New global examination solution
The new partnership with Pearson VUE significantly increases the accessibility of DMI certification exams for its growing global student population. The 5,200 centres offer a consistent, distraction-free and secure testing environment with trained invigilators and the results can be made available instantly to candidates.
In addition to its Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing other exams available through Pearson VUE include the company’s specialist diplomas across search, mobile, social media, and strategy & planning.

With the roll out of its specialist diplomas to cater for students seeking training in specific areas, the Digital Marketing Institute has significantly expanded the number of courses available to its education partners around the world.
As a result its international licence business has now become a major growth sector with new partners spanning Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
Furthermore, student numbers and revenue for its online business has more than doubled in a year. Those studying the courses online come from 53 countries across the world, up from 20 a year ago, with plans for significant expansion in numbers and staffing again next year.
