Digital Marketing - Study Notes:
Why work with influencers?
When planning a social content strategy, an important factor to consider is whether you'd like to work with social influencers.
Social media marketers might use social influencers for the creation and distribution of original or collaborative content for a number of reasons:
- They can connect to the influencer’s audience with their business message.
- They can create content that will meet the demands of the influencer’s network, to help their message resonate.
- They can build a relationship between the influencer's values and their own company values.
- They can drive credibility through peer recommendations.
When working with influencers, bear in mind that it is best practice to declare when you are sponsoring a collaboration with an influencer. And most marketers are driving engagement metrics with influencer marketing, as opposed to commercial ones.
