The impact of AI on social media

Artificial intelligence (or AI) is having a significant impact on social media marketing.

It is now an integrated part of the major social networks and helping to enhance features on these platforms. In fact, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok have all invested in new features driven by AI. External third-party AI tools are helping to shape social media activities at scale.

These activities include:

The AI market in social media is expected to reach $3,714.89 million by 2026.

AI and the customer journey

According to a recent report, AI has been playing a pivotal role in marketing efforts. Indeed, 90% of companies integrating AI to enhance their customer journeys and overall experiences.

AI plays a huge part in improving a customer journey – from discovery, to consideration, to purchase. As innovation in customer experience advances, the customer comes to expect better experiences when they engage with a brand. If a customer has a poor experience and their needs and expectations are not met, they are more likely than ever to abandon the process.
