by Cathal Melinn

Posted on Apr 2, 2024

Heatmaps are a really useful tool for recording and examing how users engage with your website, a key part of any CRO strategy. There are several heatmapping tools available, including Hotjar and Crazy Egg. But you can easily get started by trying out Microsoft Clarity, which is free to use and has the same functionality as the other tools out there.

In this walkthrough, DMI expert Cathal Melinn shows you how Clarity can link to your Google Analytics, show you anonymized recordings of user visits, and lets you dive deep into the heatmaps to see users' engagement levels and understand their pain points.

This walkthrough comes from the DMI's Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing
