I knew I needed digital training but I didn't know where to start. I did a huge amount of research and found that the caliber, variety and delivery of the Digital Marketing Institute's courses far exceeded any of the local institutions.

Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute

Before studying with Digital Marketing Institute, I completed a general Business Diploma – I really didn't know what I wanted to do. I then went on to Administrative roles up until I joined Cox Purtell as Office Manager in 2012.

What influenced your decision to study digital?

I definitely ‘fell into' digital. I decided to set up a Facebook page for our Cox Purtell and it just snowballed from there! My Director realized the increasing importance of a strong digital presence in the Recruitment industry so I started by completing the Professional Diploma in Social Media Marketing in 2013 and went on to complete the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing in 2015.

Why did you choose to study the Professional Diploma with the Digital Marketing Institute?

I knew I needed digital training but I didn't know where to start. I did a huge amount of research and found that the caliber, variety and delivery of the Digital Marketing Institute's courses far exceeded any of the local institutions here in Australia.

Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?

Since completing my first diploma with Digital Marketing Institute I stepped into my current role, Brand & Digital Marketing Manager at Cox Purtell. I carry full responsibility of our digital marketing strategy from concept to execution, as well as having full creative control over all of our social media and marketing campaigns.

I'm so lucky that I found a company willing to invest in my training and development, allowing me to start a whole new career and allowing me the freedom to make it my own.

Is there any advice you would give to new students at the Digital Marketing Institute?

Take it all in and remember to keep your course notes! The Digital Marketing Institute provides all lessons in a slideshow format and I have kept all of mine in case I want to refer to any of the modules. Also, take advantage of the online student community, if you are struggling with anything you will find you're not alone and it can be good to discuss ideas with fellow students.

In one word, how would you describe your time in the Digital Marketing Institute?

Awesome!
