Always On Digital World Makes Irish People Happier

According to a recently conducted Eircom household sentiment survey, 86% of Irish adults have access to the web with 61% using a smartphone. As the country becomes increasingly reliant on the digital world, tablet usage has grown to 1.4 million in the last six months.

What Will Yahoo Look Like in September?

Yahoo! is changing its logo. Each day between now and September 4th, Yahoo will be showcasing 30 different logos that will depict its “renaissance” under the new leadership and guidance of Marissa Mayer.  Interestingly, the logo is being showcased on recently-purchased Tumblr.

Digital Marketing Institute sweeps the board at the Digital Media Awards!

Education is the Silver Bullet (to winning awards at #DMA2013) The Digital Marketing Institute not only trained most of the winners at the Digital Media Awards in Dublin 2013 but takes away the prestigious Trailblazers Award. Last Friday night, March 1st, the Samsung Digital Media Awards took place in the Convention Centre in Dublin. It was a fantastic night with the who's who of the digital sector out in their splendour!  We were on top form, having been presented with the event’s inaugural Trailblazer Award.  But, hey, it’s not all about us!  The majority of the winning teams are either trainers / lecturers with the Digital Marketing Institute or are students.

Digital Media and Marketing Summit 2013

The fourth National The Sunday Business Post Digital Media and Marketing Summit will take place next Thursday March 7th, chaired by Anthony Quigley of the Digital Marketing Institute. Mobile Marketing Conference – Top Takeaways!

On Thursday 7th February, the Digital Marketing Institute hosted a Mobile Marketing Conference in Dublin.  Leaders in business and marketing professionals from all over the country came together to hear inspirational speakers from around the globe.  These speakers provided us with a vast amount of statistics which clearly shows that 2013 is “the year of the mobile”.  Along the way, they shared with us their predictions for the future, experiences with building mobile solutions as well as some great case studies and examples of mobile being used to enhance businesses. All presentations were both thought-provoking and entertaining. The “Mission Possible: Mobile Marketing 2013” conference highlighted the importance of Mobile Marketing for businesses. Topics covered included Search, Social, Broadcast, Gaming, M-Commerce, Apps and Mobile Website Design. The overall theme from the day was that we must start with the customer and work back from there.
